Amy just celebrated six months in her position as a crew member at Tropical Smoothie Cafe! Amy came to us in April ready to take on any task that was thrown her way but was looking for a little guidance in putting together a resume and landing an interview.

Our Job Developer met with a few local businesses, but after a conversation with Brooke at Tropical Smoothie Cafe it was was clear that it was going to be a perfect fit. Brooke was very impressed with Amy’s past work experience, and willing to work with her in all areas she needed support, such as transportation and length of shifts.  We are so thankful for our amazing business partners!

Amy told us that “I really like the people I work with.  I love my boss, Brooke and enjoy saying hi to the customers!” Amy also suggested to us, “keep doing the great job you’re doing and finding jobs for people like me.  I wouldn’t have gotten this job without you!” While we were happy to advocate for Amy, it was her social personality and amazing attitude that landed her the job!
