Each person’s dream job looks different, but for Zach the perfect job is getting free donuts at the end of every shift. Two weeks ago, he started as a volunteer associate at Marge’s Donut Den and since then his donut dreams have become reality.
This spring Zach came to Beyond 26 in hopes of finding a part-time volunteer job. After briefly considering document shredding, the perfect position came along at Marge’s Donut Den.
He works two days a week building donut boxes, cleaning tables, and helping out in any other way that may be needed. He’s a hard worker, who loves to learn and try new things.
“He was very proud of himself and surprised Marilyn (his boss) at how quickly he put donut boxes together and was thrilled he gets free donuts after every shift,” Paula, Zach’s mom, said.
Since 1975 Marge’s has been a local favorite, and Zach is excited to be a part of the staff there. He now spends his mornings at work surrounded by the delectable scent of donuts and when he leaves he gets take some home. Truly, a donut lovers dream.
